Want to Be Evil? Head to Tenpenny Tower
Written by Brian on November 25, 2008 – 10:19 pm -The second time I played through Fallout, I wanted to be evil. It was different, and it let me pick up Jericho as a follower from the get-go.
Unfortunately, this turned out to be harder than I thought. There is one simple way to get pretty evil pretty quickly – blow up Megaton. I just couldn’t bring myself to do it, though. Got kindda attached to the residents after living there for one play-through. I wouldn’t feel right blowing up Moira’s little shop.
I did kill Moriarty, tho. That felt good.
Without that giant push into evil territory, it was hard to stay evil. I did a lot of stealing and I killed Moriarty, which put me just inside Evil. That let me pick up Jericho, but over the next few hours of play time I drifted back towards Neutral.
Then I got back to Tenpenny Tower. The first time around, I was nice and I persuaded the residents to let the Ghouls live there. No such luck this time.
I unlocked the entrance to the tunnels and the feral ghouls came streaming out. I followed them inside, put on the Ghoul mask, and started massacring the residents of Tenpenny Tower. They were all a bunch of snooty punks anyway, so it didn’t seem so bad to kill them all.
But it certainly made me Very Evil.
So if you’re lookin to sink your karma rating, head over there. Let the ghouls in, and enjoy the slaughter.

Lol it’s a lot easier to be evil than good, unless ur willing too pay a lot of caps for it or wasting many Purified waters,I’m playing to get the achievement for getting lvl 20 now on good, but without the guy worshipping the bomb I’d be very evil again xD
I’m almost lvl 20,then on my last playthrough I’m gonna have to stay neutral…wonder how the hell I’m gonna do that >_<
I found being good to be pretty easy. There are many side quests that you can complete that will grant you bonus good karma. If you don’t go out of your way to lose karma (kill/steal non-stop), then it’s not hard and you don’t have to waste money and water to get good karma.
Since Tenpenny Tower I’ve found it really easy to maintain my Really Evil status. I think it’s just that initial boost – either to become good or evil – that can be difficult.
Its difficult to be an arsehole .
We are all brought up with respect for certain sanctities of the human condition. I personally cant play ‘EVIL’ in f3. I cant strangle little girls in bioshock either, unless I am pissed. The hangover is awful. There is no good karma outcome for tenpenny tower cos everyone involved directly is ‘not very nice’_
Which is why the dialogue line’I am not having any part of it’ comes up often. Tenpence tower is a vipers nest built by and inhabited by greedy arseholes.
The best use for it is to trade with the rich vendors+its no shame to SELL upmarket!
Killing Moriarty is Karma neutral-he is a scum pimp slaver(Nova & Gob) but It should for satisfaction be done discreetly.Tho kno one says anything if you erase him in his front bar(I actually had to walk over his goo pile by the door for a month;quite edifying-
Sims is still in charge.
Like Zimmer. A3-d2 doesnt want a riot on his hands.
Personally, my Fav bit was stealth boying and picking thru moriarty’s office door & catching him in his desk chair(rare) _ I stabbed him thru the ear with a combat knife. His body remained under his desk for 3 game time weeks and no-one said anything apart from Nova, who no longer did ‘that sort of work’.
Serves the sweaty sock right for trying to extort 300 caps
from a 19 yr old looking for dad! (‘well, if it isnt my favourite vault baby’ . . .
QUALITY.
Dhukov’s place is great. Stealing his Key,one of his birds(and escorting her to rivet city for Karma) drinking his grog with his blessing? Guy’s a bloody Legend..
I’d team up with him if the bombs dropped anyday.
Snot, I would party till I met the bullet with my name on. Does that count as evil?
The guy is always too plastered to not party
