Chapter 6: How to Find Vault 112

To be honest, this is really the end of Chapter 5. But, I suppose you could look at the glass either way and call this the beginning of Chapter 6.

After discovering that your father is attempting to resume work on Project Purity, you need to find track him down. The clues you have to go on - the tapes found at the Project Purity Center in the Jefferson War Memorial - suggest that you should head to Vault 112.

Here’s a quick guide to finding Vault 112, entering it, and beginning the Chapter 6 questline.

For those of you who don’t like picture books, here’s a more detailed explanation of what you need to do.

Go to Smith Casey's Garage (pin-pointed on this map). It's in the Southwest Quadrant of the map, somewhat close to Tenpenny Tower.First, you’ll need to head to Smith Casey’s Garage. It’s located in the Southwest Quadrant of the map, about three squares from the left and five squares from the bottom.

It’s just west of Evergreen Mills and just to the Northeast of Girdershade. Tenpenny Tower is the next closest major landmark - from Tenpenny, head North a few squares and to the left a couple.

Once you find Smith Casey’s Garage, enter. Kill some Mole Rats.

Use the control panel to open the door and enter Vault 112.Second, you’ll need to find the entrance to Vault 112. Smith Casey’s garage isn’t too big, so this should be easy enough. Head into the second room, and use the electrical switch on the wall. This will open up access to the stairs.

Head into the basement and follow the hallway. You’ll come up against a Vault door - that’s Vault 112. Use the control panel (if you try to use the door, it’ll tell you it is opened from elsewhere) and the door will slowly open.

Open the unoccupied tranquility lounger and sit down to enter the simulation program.Third, head inside and look for this mysterious Dr. Braun.

As you walk through the vault, you’ll encounter a Robobrain. He’ll hand you a vault jumpsuit, which you should put on, and direct you to the tranquility loungers. Follow your quest objective marker on the compass, and you’ll quickly find yourself downstairs in the lounge area.

You can walk around and look at the computer terminals to find some information about the residents in the vault. Once you’re ready to move on, jump inside the tranquility lounger.

Continuing the Chapter 6 Quest Line

Thus begins Chapter 6. Now, you need to find a way out of this mad house virtual world, confront Dr. Braun, and find your father and the GECK.
