The Good Old RU Screw
Written by Brian on January 21, 2009 – 11:26 pm -Ahh, that good old RU screw.
I made it through my first five years at Rutgers without too much trouble. Hopefully, starting my doctoral program won’t be too tough either – but there’s certainly been a bit of a bump in the road.
In part, this is my fault. I got some paperwork in late, so my application wasn’t processed on time. I’m not sure exactly when the application was processed and I was officially admitted – but yesterday I logged on and noticed that my status was “recommended for admission.”
Oddly enough, I hadn’t received any communication from Rutgers. No e-mail. No snail mail. It’s now a day later, and still nothing in the mail.
Ordinarily, this might not be so bad. So it takes a few days to get out some paperwork… big deal!
Except classes started yesterday.
I can log into some of the online systems at the website (including the registration system), but I’m unable to actually register. However, when I logged into the student accounts section, I was dutifully informed that payment for the semester was due on January 26.
Hmm… So classes started yesterday, I can’t register (presumably until I receive and return the official admissions paperwork), but I need to pay for my classes by Monday?
Yeah. That sounds simple.
/sigh.
